Merging "Miraculous" and "Kwami Swap" Pages

It seems to me it would be economical to merge the content on Miraculous and Kwami Swap on one page titled Kwami. Canon info and fanworks about Miraculous and Kwami go hand in hand and are almost never separate from each other. I think we'd end up with a single pretty comprehensive page.

Since this is the page that currently has more content, I suggest moving Kwami Swap's content here, retitling this page to "Kwami," and then blanking and redirecting Kwami Swap to Kwami. --caes (talk) 04:23, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

I understand the reasoning, but I think it may lead to more confusion than anything. Kwami Swap is its own trope, separate entirely from Kwamis as a concept. And as a trope that continues to grow and get more engagement, my own two cents is that it would be a mistake to take its own page away. The page is only going to get longer with more examples. It's one of the most popular tropes of the fandom. There will also be a lot of issues with current linking on other pages since "Kwami" and "Kwami Swap" are not synonymous.

Instead, I suggest expansion on both pages. More examples on each page, and more content on how the Miraculous are used in fanon. Fanmade kwamis would be a good way to flesh this out. --ShadowMayura (talk) 04:48, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

I agree with ShadowMayura, one is a trope and the other is an important aspect of canon. If anything, the miraculous page could probably be merged with the miraculous ladybug page? Since it covers fic tropes, and otherwise consists of a list of canon information. I think the speculation is similar to the theorising section on the miraculous ladybug page. --Distracted Daydreamer (sorry, I'm not sure what time I should be leaving this in?)

I think Distracted Daydreamer has hit the nail on the head. Kwami Swap is a trope used in the fandom, but Miraculous are not. I'd suggest changing this page to a Glossary page - similar to how Jedi is a glossary page but Jedi AU (currently redlinked) would be a trope page, if we had a page on that trope. I'm also wondering if the page Kwami should be created as a redirect to Miraculous? These two terms go hand in hand and they can both be explained on this page.
