Incest or Pseudo Incest?
Someone recently added this page to Category:Incest Pairings, and I don't 100% agree with its inclusive. But looking at this page, Thorki is labelled as incestuous in the intro and infobox. I don't think this is right and I think it should be changed to pseudo-incest. These characters are not blood relatives and that's often a focus of fics, particularly arranged marriage works.
I also think we need to include discussion about how Thorki shippers interpret this ship, anti-Thorki fans and why some writers often tag this as "sibling incest", while others use "pseudo incest". I also think there needs to be discussion of how some writers choose to avoid all hints of incest by using the jotun!Loki trope, an AU scenario where the two are not raised as adoptive brothers --Auntags (talk) 10:42, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- I think whether this is considered incest or pseudo incest is probably open to interpretation, because if I remember correctly Thor and Loki do not discover that they not biologically related until they are adults, and in the minds of many if you are raised as if your biological siblings than even when you find out otherwise it would still be considered incest. However, others think in more definite terms, so if you're not biologically related than it's not incest, but pseudo incest -- Kingstoken (talk) 15:53, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
