Talk:List of Danny Phantom Relationship Names

Little Note because I think this needs to be said.

I’ve noticed that the incest & age gap [which is really just a way I’ve been scurting around saying pedophilia] tags have been removed.

If I remember correctly I spoke with someone who knows more about Fanlore’s code of conduct about something similar to this topic on a different page.

And although I understand that admonishing ships and their contents isn’t allowed I don’t understand why adding the two removed tags is so bad. This is all being thought of as someone new to the fandom coming to this page for proper information.

It’s better honestly if people are aware of what type of ship they are getting into, what type of weight it holds in cannon and in the fandom.

Along with people wanting to know what types of ships they’re interacting with. Whether they like those types of ships or not.

Btw, I’m not even gonna try this with the crossover ships cause I literally can't deal with the fact that crossovers can just change a characters age or familial relationships. It is what it is with crossovers and I’m not about to go tagging two copies of the same ship.

That’s all I have to say, I hope whoever is taking down these tags could come to some sort of agreement with me about this.

I have reverted the label changes. As has been mentioned before, Fanlore does not tag ships as "incest" or "age gap" or "pedophilic." It is assumed that writers and readers who are familiar with canon know which characters are related and what ages are in canon (if that's known at all); however, those situations may not be the same in fanworks. - Elf (talk) 18:09, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
Hi MillieLow, I’m a member of the Fanlore Policy & Admin team, and we notice you’ve included labels such as “age gap” and “incest” on this page as well, after we discussed this topic previously on the Talk Page for the TMNT relationship list. There we explained that “type” is used for het, slash or femslash, poly, etc., i.e. the orientation of people in that relationship. Labels with warnings, like “age gap”, “incest”, or “pedophilia” are not used on this wiki because they may not be accurate to all fanworks in a pairing, and it is also assumed that people in a fandom have some familiarity with canon such as familial ties.
Since we’ve already explained this policy, this is a repeat warning about inserting these tags such as “age gap” and “incest”, so if there is another instance of using these tags on Fanlore, we will ban your account. Joanna R (talk) 23:33, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
I understand now, sorry for the trouble I wasn't completely aware of Fanlore's tagging system working like this. I wont do it again. - MillieLow (talk) 03:00, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
