Comics and/or more art?

I have more art from this story as well as some comics (which are scenes from the fic). Is it of interest for these to be added? Aliandry (talk) 02:56, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

Hi Aliandry, that would be great! You can upload images to Fanlore and once uploaded, images can be included on this (or other) pages.
Here's a help page that contains details on how to upload images: Help:Managing files.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns about that. --Auntags (talk) 21:56, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
Auntags Thank you for the link! I'm slowly learning how to do this. I have two questions: I saved the images back when they were still up on LJ (it think... old disk) so I don't know if the source is up/where it is. I'll try looking, but... It's been a long time since lismbwyd was written; I also saw that the "Copyright/Permission Status" space was left blank on the two gallery pictures of the page. Should mine be left like so? Thank you! Aliandry (talk) 22:28, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
Auntags Let's rejoice! Toluene is back! And they are reuploading their art as well on https://www.tumblr.com/toluene-sister
I feel a bit uncomfortable with uploading media without permission here, so this is doubly wonderful news! Aliandry (talk) 13:49, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
That's great! If you feel comfortable doing so, you can add links directly to toluene's artwork or tags on Tumblr. --21:48, 7 June 2024 (UTC)

Reverting recent edits

I reverted the recent edits to this page that removed old links and art due to their being "irrelevant." When removing information from a page, please discuss it on this talk page first. Thanks! --Mrs. Potato Head 12:55, 24 June 2024 (UTC)

Deleting old links & art

Hi, author here. I'd appreciate it if I could just remove the archived links & art from the page, as I originally deleted them for a good reason, and I don't feel comfortable with them being circulated without my consent. Thank you for your understanding! Toluenesister (talk) 21:57, 24 June 2024 (UTC)

Hi Toluenesister, thanks for raising your concerns on the talk page. Fanlore volunteers are reviewing this page and will be making edits in the coming days, to emphasise the newer version of lismbwyd. We will be moving the archived links to the references section at the bottom of the page, with only the current link remaining in the infobox. We are also planning to reduce the resolution of the images, to address any copyright concerns you might have.
As a general rule, we don't remove content wholesale from Fanlore pages, as it's important to preserve it as part of fan history. If you believe there is additional information which volunteers should take into account in this case, you can contact the Fanlore Committee directly via our contact form. --Auntags (talk) 23:01, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
Hello Auntags, thank you for getting back to me. However, making the links and the artwork smaller and less visible doesn't work for me at all, I need those removed from the page. I cannot stress this enough: I had originally deleted those stories and the artwork for a very good, personal reason and they have been reshared here without my knowledge or permission. I understand that you believe it's important to preserve fan history, but surely it cannot extend to situations like this where the author's wishes are blatantly disregarded. Without getting into unnecessary detail, this is not a question of copyright, having this content readily available for anyone to see could have actual, real life consequences for me, which is why I must insist on having it removed permanently and as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding. Toluenesister (talk) 11:23, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
Hi Toluenesister. If you haven't already, I would recommend contacting the Fanlore Committee via the contact form and choosing the subject of your email to be Identity Protection from the dropdown options. This will send you email directly to the team that handles ID protection queries and requests. It sounds like our Identity Protection policy could apply in your situation, but it difficult to tell without more information and I understand completely that you can't include that information on this Talk page. --Auntags (talk) 22:39, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
Auntags I appreciate you trying to offer solutions, but I'm sure you can understand that I don't feel comfortable explaining my private circumstances to complete strangers, especially over a situation that shouldn't have happened in the first place. I had deleted the original version of the story and the accompanying artwork years ago, and frankly it's baffling to me that anyone would consider it completely harmless to dig it up and make it publically available without consulting me first. If this is a common practice on this website, it's extremely troubling, because it simply puts people at risk. Artists have good reasons for deleting their works, and it has to be respected. Preserving fandom history cannot be held to higher regard than the well-being of people who actually participate in the fandom. So I am asking again, please remove the archived links and the artwork from this page. Toluenesister (talk) 09:58, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
The team which handles ID protection requests are the only admins who can fully remove sensitive data from Fanlore. They can redact the edit history of pages so people cannot view previous versions of the article. Gardeners and ordinary editors can't do that. This is why we ask people to contact the Fanlore Committee regarding any Identity Protection issues. --Auntags (talk) 20:51, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
