Talk:Kingdom Hearts
Shipping
I’d like to update the Shipping section of this page, however given that the Ship War between Sora/Riku and Sora/Kairi is a major source of Discourse in the fandom, I want to make sure that any changes I make comply with the Plural Point of View policy. As of 2021, the only canon ships in Kingdom Hearts are those that originate from other Disney media. Word of God has yet to acknowledge or confirm any pairings involving characters that originate from Kingdom Hearts, and nothing definitive has been said within the actual games.
However, the idea that Sora/Kairi is the intended endgame pairing for the series is a popular fanon among fans of the series, even among those who do not ship the pairing, to the point where many assume it is already canon. This has led to considerable Discourse in the fandom as fans of other ships involving Sora (especially fans of Sora/Riku) have received Flames and other negative comments on various platforms for not accepting this viewpoint.
What would be the best way to convey all of this while maintaining Plural Point of View? TheVioletHowler (talk) 00:28, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
- I think you've already phrased it neutrally and factually.

- You can just go ahead and pop that right in the article. If some SoKai experts want to chime in with their side of the story, then that's up to them.
- I think the PPoV policy is just a general guideline for the eventual completeness of an article, not a requirement for an individual editor to fulfill with every single contribution. Idk tho. — PCCB (talk) 01:59, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
- Alright. I'll copy this over to the article, then. And thanks for the advice re: PPOV. I figured that was generally the case, I was just trying to be cautious until I could be sure the changes I wanted to make weren't going to provoke an edit war or anything like that. (I've had bad experiences with that kind of thing in the past and figured better safe than sorry). TheVioletHowler (talk) 02:47, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
Adding Zines
I'm trying to add a page for a multi-volume Kingdom Hearts zine, but I'm unsure of which option to go with: the first two volumes consist entirely of art, while the third volume is an illustrated Novel Zine. Do I create one page for all three volumes and use the basic art zine template for all three? Or do I make one page for the first two volumes and a separate page for the third one?
- If there's continuity in the project/same title with numbered volumes, I'd put them all on one page. You can use the art zine template and add the zine novel category as well: [[Category:Novel Zines]]. (not a gardener)--aethel (talk) 18:46, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
- Each volume has a different title but from what I understand it's the same organizers and (most of) the same artists working on each volume.
