Merge with Constantine (Comics)?
I just scrolled through the recent changes page and saw that the Constantine (comics) were merged with the Hellblazer page, but I don't exactly understand why that merge happened. Hellblazer is a canon that was concluded some years ago and the Constantine (comics) are a part of DC's New 52 and it's different enough apart from the main character having the name and looks of the original John Constantine (but none of his Hellblazer supporting cast or backstory) to count as its own thing just like the Cosntantine movie and tv show are their own things and have their own fans. Am I missing something here about the notability requirements for fandoms maybe? (I didn't set up the page by the way, I just saw it and was curious.)--navaan (talk) 09:52, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- The Constantine (comics) page had the same information on the Hellblazer page with no fandom information dedicated to it or any new content or any other differences. Unless there is a significant difference in the fandom I don't see why it should be separated - at least yet anyway. On AO3 the tag Constantine (comic) has 15 works tagged compared to Hellblazer & Related Fandoms which has 486 works and Hellblazer tag that has 144 works tagged - only one Constantine (comic) tagged work doesn't have the other two tags attached as a fandom. How I read it is "Constantine" is just a new title of Hellblazer, like New X-Men or Amazing X-Men or Uncanny X-Men is for X-Men comics, but you wouldn't have separate pages for those titles unless it's a whole new team like the X-Force or X-Men: Evolution. At it's core, it's still the same, right? It still focuses on John Constantine and his main cast. Maybe I do have it wrong, but from what I can understand of the both titles, I think it should stay under Hellblazer and be fine. Maybe it's just more recognizable right now as Constantine due to film and TV series, in which case maybe a rename to "Constantine (comics)" could be done.--Harpie (talk) 10:43, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
