Talk:Fanpair
FWIW, I'm not sure "beta" is a true synonyms for "fanpair"; while a beta *may* be a close friend, a fanpair *is* one's closest fannish friend, whether you beta for each other or not. My impression was always that fanpairs were/are pretty rare -- it's a really tight friendship, something that, say, stands a reasonable chance of passing the broccoli test.--Arduinna 22:48, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
- I can move both "cowriter" and "beta" to "See also." I've never heard the term "fanpair" till I saw this article, though I think I know what it means and could cite several examples in my personal acquaintance. --Ari 01:14, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- I recall hearing of "fanpairs" in the late 90's, when (iirc) I was told that fanpairs often live together as well as attending cons together. --Lipsum 02:36, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Has anyone else come across "fanwife" which seems to mean the same? --Betty 22:32, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
