different terms

Fandom old currently redirects to Fandom Mom, but I think these are distinct concepts. A fandom mom has some sort of protective or mentor relationship with younger fans, whereas a fandom old is someone who mentions that they have been in fandom for a long time ("get off my lawn", etc.).--aethel (talk) 00:02, 6 January 2023 (UTC)

Agreed. Furthermore, "Fandom Mom" tends to get used as an ageist pejorative and/or to describe creepy people recruiting young minions with "I'm the only safe adult" bullshit. They're completely different terms. Franzeska (talk) 01:00, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
