Talk:Fan Casting
I have no idea if this is even what fans call this practice. There's probably a better term. --Mrs. Potato Head (talk) 16:25, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
- Is a better term: Fan Casting? --Mrs. Potato Head (talk) 22:29, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
- Fan Casting sounds like a good page name; simply Casting might work also. But the scope of the page would need to be broadened to include all kinds of speculative casting for characters who haven't made the transition to live-action yet. See also Recasting.--æþel (talk) 22:52, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
- I know it as Fan Casting but not just for original characters but all characters that don't have a live-action counterpart yet (or have one but the fan casting asks what if it were that other person instead). --Doro (talk) 23:00, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
- I'll rename it Fan Casting (keeping "fan" to keep the fan emphasis). I'll add links to Head Canon, Recasting, Photo Reference. I've got another example to add from Pros. But the page will be pretty stubby as I don't know very much about this subject. --Mrs. Potato Head (talk) 23:10, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
- "all kinds of speculative casting for characters who haven't made the transition to live-action yet" -- not sure what this means, so I'm leaving it on the page as is. --Mrs. Potato Head (talk) 00:53, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
