Talk:Fake/Pretend Relationship
I have this het/slash example that is about being undercover at a sex club, with Todd and John pretending to belong to Teyla, and John realizes he likes that. So the structure is pretty much like undercover in a gay bar, only with kink in place of the gay as normal: From the entrance to the exit, it's farther than it looks by Sarah T. and The Spike. So I'm not sure whether to put it here or there.--RatCreature 17:47, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- I've been thinking on this since you posted this. I think it could go in both, but if you want to pick one, I would say Undercover in a Gay Bar, not having read the fic, it seems to be more about realizing identity than forming a relationship.--facetofcathy 12:29, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
Propose page move
I propose that the Pretend Couple page be moved to Fake/Pretend Relationship.
Reasoning: I came here to add some examples of the trope in Triad Verse, which (as the name suggests) involve three people pretending to be a polyamorous triad (i.e. all dating each other). It's definitely the same trope, but they're not technically a Pretend Couple. Any examples of four people pretending to be in a Sedoretu together would run into the same problem.
I propose Fake/Pretend Relationship as the new page name because it covers all shapes of pretend relationships, and it is the canonical tag on AO3.[1]
Thoughts? I'd be happy to help update the redirect pages, if it is moved! --Bikedancelaugheat (talk) 06:39, 7 May 2018 (UTC)
- I'm fine with this name change. Any objections from others? --MPH (talk) 12:24, 7 May 2018 (UTC)
- Seconded - this change makes sense to me. - Fandomgeographies (talk) 18:42, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
