Talk:"24/7" DIY Video Summit
I just created a stub for 24 (the series), and this now shows up as a subpage because of the slash in the title, which is kind of misleading.--Ratcreature 16:50, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, hm. People who are involved in 24/7, would it be okay to rename this page as something like "24/7 DIY" Video Summit to separate it from 24? --Arduinna 20:58, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think it matters so long as there's redirects or disambiguations or whatever. If I were looking for it, I'd type "24/7" or "DIY", both of which prolly need disambig pages as Ratcreature suggests elsewhere. --Fcoppa 21:39, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, cool, I'll move it now. Thanks! --Arduinna 21:41, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
- *sighs* I researched a way to stop this disamb page from showing up as a subpage for 24, but there is no "manual", simple command to override subpage display, since it's tied to the namespace -- once the subpage feature is enabled (and I'd guess it's enabled for any and all namespaces on this wiki), there is no way to stop any slashed pages from showing up as child pages. This is super-annoying. The only solution I could think of is creating a different namespace "Disambiguation" and disabling subpages there. Shooting sparrows with cannons, perhaps, but
this is really bugging me. I suppose I'll write to the wiki cmt about this. --lian 22:58, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
