Reactions and Reviews
Yes, that is a unicorn-pony on the cover. He’s Avon’s childhood friend/pet. Because of course Avon had a unicorn-pony as a child!
This is something of an AU, obviously. In this, Avon’s father came from the independent colony of New Wales, a planet colonized via stargate centuries back by the Welsh people, including sentient dragons. They stay independent through a sort of magic/psychic trickery. (This is one of those stories where Avon is mildly telepathic.) The stories run from first season to PGP, with a surviving Vila & Avon (and a Cally rescued from Terminal a couple of years before that.)
No, you’ll never make it fit canonically. Doesn’t matter. Let Avon have his unicorn-pony friend. New Wales is an entertaining concept all on its own, and the stories are a good read. Blake's 7 #vintage fanzines #It's not an AU I would personally run with #but I enjoy reading it [1]
