T'Zorel is a Star Trek: TOS story by Jacqueline Lichtenberg.
It was published in Impulse #3 (February 1971), Maybe #13 (1971), Luna Monthly #32 (1972), and Kraith Collected #1 (1973).
Summary
A Starfleet cadet who is half Vulcan and a Daughter of Tradition has applied to renounce her Vulcan citizenship, planning to live as a human. Her attempts to behave as one, however, look like bad imitations, and because she is extremely beautiful, her courtesy to male crewmembers is seen as flirting. After an attempted date rape by Chekov (!), Spock talks her into reversing her decision.
Reactions and Reviews
...the humans of KRAITH are indeed dolts. Some of them are oversexed dolts, like Chekov -- his assault on T'Zorel is disgusting -- and some of them are jealous dolts like Christine Chapel (AAGH!) But they are all markedly inferior to the Vulcans involved. This is a viewpoint I can fully comprehend and empathize with -- I don't like humans myself -- but I think it tends to detract from what KRAITH and the KRAITH Spock could be if their brilliant Vulcans could interact with if-not-egually-brilliant-at-least-somewhat-advanced-humans.
