Summary
By an old Republic law, all members of the Jedi High Council are senators in the Galactic Senate, and can thus be voted in as chancellor. A Senator from a less prominent planet has had enough of Chancellor Palpatine's incompetence and calls for a Vote of No-Confidence and the installation of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic.This one action becomes the catalyst that changes the direction of the galaxy.

(In Progress) This one is a little Crack Treated Seriously. And I love it. Palpatine is ousted via a Vote of No Confidence, and for reasons that are a mystery to Obi-wan he ends up as the new Supreme Chancellor. It's silly, and serious and honestly such a good read.bitter-chocolate-stars [1]
I love this AU so much, there’s so much light and joy in it, it’s hilarious to see Obi-Wan elected into a role he hates but is really good at, it’s joyful to see this wide variety of characters and this huge unfurling of a bigger world that’s connected through Palpatine’s various schemes and all the people that get wrapped up in it, as well as the galaxy being put on a better path because, inch by inch, they can root out the corruption.gffa [2]
