Strelitzia is a supporting character from the Kingdom Hearts video game series. She first appeared in the Kingdom Hearts: Union X gacha game, and is set to return in Kingdom Hearts IV.
Canon
Strelitzia was introduced as a Keyblade wielder who had observed and admired the Union X player character from afar. Shortly before the Keyblade War began, she was approached by Master Ava and recruited to become one of the leaders of the Dandelions, a faction of Keyblade Wielders intended to sit out the coming war and ensure that light would survive. On the day the war began, she attempted to make contact with the player and bring them into the Dandelions to ensure their survival, but was ambushed and murdered by an unknown assailant.
The mystery of which of the other Dandelion leaders had usurped her place became one of the driving questions of the game from 2017 until its conclusion in 2021.
She later returned in the trailer for Kingdom Hearts IV, introducing Sora to the world of Quadratum and explaining its purpose as an afterlife for people from their reality.

Strelitzia’s death so soon after her introduction quickly prompted complaints about Fridging.
Popular Tropes
The reveal of Lauriam, the Somebody of Organization XIII member Marluxia, as one of the potential suspects of her murder led to fanart depicting Strelitzia’s ghost as the angelic grim reaper that appears behind Marluxia during his final boss form in Re: Chain of Memories (2008). This trend continued with a greater focus on angst after it was revealed that he was her older brother and was the one investigating her fate rather than the cause of it.
After the announcement trailer for Kingdom Hearts IV confirmed her return, the idea of her and Sora being roommates together in Quadratum quickly became a popular headcanon.
Many fanworks centered on Strelitzia focus on either her sibling bond with her brother, her canonical friendship with Elrena, her desire for friendship with the player character, or her potential friendship with Sora.
