Steam is a popular PC gaming digital distribution platform that was initially created by Valve Corporation to provide updates for their games, such as Portal and Half-Life. It has since become the major digital distribution platform for video games, although recent developments mean that Steam isn't quite the juggernaut it once was.[1]
