Starland News is a multi-fandom newsletter published in Denver, Colorado, US by the fans who sponsored Star Fest.
While it contains short con reports, news bit, and illustrations/photos, its main focus was as a mail order catalog for fannish merchandise.
The newsletter was free. From the Summer 1987 issue:
Since the Starland News is free, there is no reason for anyone interested in SF Movies and TV not to get it. We can’t afford to send it to people who don’t respond so if there is a " H " on your address label, you will have to call us or write to continue getting the Newsletter, that you won’t miss out.
Do your friends a favor and make sure that they get their own copies of the Newsletter by putting their names on the Starland Subscription card when you send it in. We want everyone to know about the Movie screenings, Conventions, Products and SF Movie and TV news that is publicized in the Starland News.

From the article about Star Trek: The Next Generation:
As you all know, STAR TREK is coming back to TV without our beloved Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock and Dr. McCoy. Scheduled to premiere the first part of October, STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION will feature a brand new cast of characters. [...]. For those of us who live in Denver the prospects of seeing the new TV series don’t look good, Channel 2, the station that currently runs the old series, hasn’t picked the new series up. Channel 31, the next logical choice, hasn't picked it up yet either, I realize that a lot of people are a little bit skeptical about this new series, but I am sure that even the most die hard Trek fan would like to have the opportunity to see at least one episode of the new series, It would seem that some kind of letter writing campaign might be in order here or if you’re not into writing letters, than a simple phone call to the local stations might do the trick. Please keep it simple, firm but nice! We’ve heard news that a recent letter campaign in Wyoming was successful, If everyone gets involved, perhaps we can be as successful here in Denver.
