Slade Wilson is a DC Comics character, originally a villain for the Teen Titans that has since become an antagonist for older heroes such as Batman and Green Arrow as well. He was the major antagonist on the animated Teen Titans series, and a main character in Seasons 1 and 2 on the Arrow television series.

Teen Titans animated
Slade is commonly shipped with Robin (Slade/Robin, known as Sladin) and Raven (Slade/Raven). This is largely in part to the Apprentice Storyline which sees Slade take Robin as his apprentice and the Birthmark/Trigon storyline in which Slade works for Raven's Father Trigon. The Apprentice Storyline has also motivated some gen works for Robin and Slade. Slade/Robin has 806 works on Archive of Our Own as of November 2019 and Slade/Raven has 6 as of November 2019. Due to the villainous nature of Slade's character, a lot of the fanworks involving him do have darker themes, however, there is also a number of works which portray him as a figure which is very protective of his love interest. An example of this is Identity Crisis, a fic with 1200 kudos on AO3.[1]
Arrow
He is commonly shipped with Oliver Queen (Slade/Oliver) and also Shado (Slade/Shado) and both of these characters as a trio (Slade/Oliver/Shado). As of November 2019, there are 252 works on Archive of Our Own under the Oliver Queen/Slade Wilson tag, 36 works under the Oliver Queen/Shado/Slade Wilson tag, and 46 under the Shado/Slade Wilson tag. Due to the mentor/mentee relationship between Slade and Oliver on Lian Yu fanworks often focus on a relationship starting on the Island and Slade makes it off the Island with Oliver or Slade still 'dying' but them re-uniting in Starling City.
