The New York Comic Con, also known as NYCC, is a massive convention held in New York City, and often considered the East Coast's version of Comic-Con. This multi-fandom convention is enormously popular, with over 100,000 fans in attendance in 2011.[1]
The original con, first held in February 2006, was much smaller and catered only to comic fans. In 2010, the NYCC merged with the New York Anime Festival, an anime convention that was run by the same company.
