Some Excerpts
Why did you choose your pen name?
ArnaKyle, sadly, was a Mary Sue. I registered the name on the theforce.net message boards in 2000 when I was 14 and very much inexperienced in writing. She's a good reminder of how much my writing has matured since then.
Would you agree that fanfiction is a genre dominated by women, and if so, why do you think it's so?
I believe that while it is true more women write fanfiction (in general– not just romance, because I know of many talented female action writers), there are many talented male writers in the genre as well (who are also capable of writing many different styles). I think that either women are more open about displaying their work, or just take more time to write it down. That's not to say that men do not write well, or write as much, but it is agreeable that more females write fanfiction.
This is a site devoted to antagonists. Could you reveal us your favourite Mr. Bad Guy?
I love Darth Vader. He's just the epitome of cool evil– ever since I was a kid, I've had a fascination with his screen presence. Evil, yet sympathetic. Machine, yet human. He's just plain cool.
