Reactions and Reviews
This newest DS-related club didn't premiere at SC, but it had It's beginnings there. Two issues have come out so far, and this club presents a friendly, literate Image. The highlight of the first issue is an informative and fascinating Interview with Grayson. Also included is a rarity in DS fan writing: an essay on the topic Julia Hoffman: Victim of Character Assassination". Melody develops her [missing word?] them succinctly and clearly, and it's bound to leave people thinking. Also included is probably the longest poem I've ever written, a character study of Julia after Dr. Woodard's death. Issue #2 contains the excellent "Breakthrough" by Adriana Pena, definitely one of her best. It concerns a pivotal point in the relationship between Barnabas and Julia. This issue also marks the beginning of a serialized DS novel by Sandy Smith entitled "Barnabas Collins and the Dark Shadows at Collinwood", which takes up where 1840 left off. Even if you're not a devoted fan of Grayson Hall, you'll like this club...if you are, why are you waiting to subscribe? [1]
