Issue 1

Award-winning Artist (Best Cover Art ADS 1995): Rosemarie Hauer.
From the editorial:
Thank you for buying S-E-N-S-U-A-L CANDLELIGHT ... know that I appreciate your loyalty and continue to be overwhelmed by your wonderful letters. I can't believe this is my 6th fanzine, and the fifth published by myself.
As always with a 'Candlelight' collection, each story is an entirely separate entity and should be read as such. This time there is a strong sensual flavour to each one, which I hope will give you 'warm fuzzies' all over!
I am very pleased to welcome a guest author this time: Rosemarie Bauer sent me a beautiful story which impressed me so much that I decided to include it for you all to share. 'Someone Else's Possibility' will also appear in an upcoming American fanzine, but since my readers are based largely in the UK and given the number of American fanzines available, I decided that relatively few fans would buy both publications. Since 'zine editors don't pay for stories, copyright remains with the individual authors and can, therefore, be submitted to other publications (within reason of course, and at the discretion and integrity of editors).
I am also greatly honoured to have Rosemarie's legendary artwork grace and enhance the pages of this 'zine. This lady is, in my opinion, the greatest Beauty and the Beast artist in Europe, and possibly the world; I believe her drawings of Vincent are unsurpassed and reveal her love for the character as equal to my own. Thanks a million, Rosemarie, for your generosity and your friendship. once again, this fanzine is dedicated to all the people who brought us 'Beauty and the Beast', but especially to Ron Perlman, Linda Hamilton and Ron Koslow. With our continued love and support, The Dream Will Never Die.
- Obsession by Avril Bowles ("Following a mysterious message, Vincent is kidnapped by an old and dangerous adversary whose only objective is to have him for herself.") (1)
- Fragrance by Design by Avril Bowles ("When Catherine brings Vincent back a bottle of cologne from a business trip, she has no idea of the extent to which it will affect them both!") (35)
- Out of the Turmoil by Avril Bowles ("Vincent is tense and upset when a friend angers him almost to the point of losing control. Can Catherine relieve his tension and restore his peace of mind?") (45)
- Love's Healing Touch by Avril Bowles ("What we would all have loved to see, had Vincent not left Catherine in 'Orphans'.") (59)
- Someone Else's Responsibility by Rosemarie Hauer ("Catherine is determined to teach Vincent acceptance of her love, and himself.") (66)
- Fantasies Fulfilled by Avril Bowles ("Catherine and Jenny attend a 'Chippendales' concert and our heroine's imagination goes into overdrive. But Vincent never even enters her apartment...does he?") (74)
- Specialty Bonding by Avril Bowles ("Alone in his chamber at night, Vincent experiences a highly unusual 'connection' to Catherine") (85)
- A Delicate Balance Disturbed by Avril Bowles ("When Vincent arrives on Catherine's balcony one night, obviously unwell, neither of them can foresee the possible long term implications or the action required to help him") (88)
Issue 2
Sensual Candlelight 2 was published in 1996 and contains 107 pages.
The art is by Rosmarie Hauer, Renate Haller, and Pam Tuck.
The author writes:
Sensuality is the key word here, and you'll find 6 beautiful, romantic stories.... sometimes dramatic... sometimes with a touch of humor. You'll feel misty-eyed, weak-kneed, and generally 'fuzzy' when you're finished. NOTE: An audio tape of a 30-page story from this 'zine ("Moving Through the Shades of Grey") and read by the author is available to whet your appetite.
From the editorial:
I can't believe this is my 10th fanzine! I'm not going to say there won't be another because we all know what happens when people say never again, don't we, but it's awfully hard now, to come up with new, fun things for Vincent and Catherine to do. And the innumerable love scenes we've all read! Oh boy. I'd hate to think of anyone ever reading my fiction with a yawn and a "I heard it all before" feeling, so who knows...
As I write this editorial on a freezing cold, snowy day in February 1996, the news on our TV mini-series is encouraging if not exactly mega-hot. Additionally, our show is being screened 3 times a week in England on the satellite channel Paramount, to whom we're eternally grateful, so the situation is certainly not hopeless.
- The (Dis)comfort Zone by ("When the constant suppression of sexual arousal affects Vincent's helt, Father becomes concerned that he may have been derelict in his duty; even imitating that Catherine should be the one to help him save his son.")
- A Birthday Promise ("The tunnel residents thrown a party to celebrate Catherine's birthday, but when she has too much to drink, her behaviour shocks and disturbs Vincent.")
- Rash Behavior ("Vincent arrives on Catherine's balcony afraid he has the plague. She finally convinces him it's only the German Measles, but he can't return home as a woman Below is pregnant. How will Catherine cope -- alone with a distressed Vincent for three days?!")
- A Love to Treasure ("Catherine's "time of the month" intrudes on an evening with Vincent.")
- A Little Poetry Can Be a Bad Thing ("Catherine's sexual longing for Vincent during a public meeting Below causes a lot more trouble than she could have imagined.")
- Moving Through the Shades of Grey ("A continuation of the episode, except this time Catherine doesn't leave Vincent to bear the post-trauma stress and subsequent nightmares alone.")
