Sean Bean is an English actor, who was born on 17 April 1959 in Sheffield. He tends to make several films a year, and often plays villains. His characters also tend to die in most of them.
Played Boromir in the The Lord of the Rings films, Richard Sharpe in the Sharpe British TV series, Alec Trevelyan (Agent 006) in the James Bond film Goldeneye, and Odysseus in the film Troy. In 2011, Bean played Eddard ("Ned") Stark in the HBO series Game of Thrones, based on the first volume of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy series.
