Sharpe is a British television series that originally ran from 1993 to 1997. It had two sequels, the TV films Sharpe's Challenge (2006) and Sharpe's Peril (2008).
The show is based on Bernard Cornwell's series of historical fiction novels about Richard Sharpe (portrayed by actor Sean Bean), an English soldier during the Napoleonic Wars.
Together with Cornwell's books, the series inspired a fandom which is known for it's numerous crossovers with other Age of Sail fandoms.
