SIG (Special Interest Group) is a community of Mensa fans that focus on a specific topic.
Many are not fannish, but some are, including ones for Star Trek, Star Wars, and Doctor Who.

Mensa is, as some may know, the society for people in the 99th percentile of the population, IQ-wise. Just starting up in this society is a Special Interest Group dealing with Star Wars. Although one must be a member of Mensa to officially belong to the SIG, the Newsletter is available to non-Mensans. The Newsletter is called LuMinous Beings... [1]
