The rude interruption, also known as being walked in on/walking in on someone, is a trope in both fanon and in canon. It involves a character interrupting or thwarting a moment of intimacy. This could involve two or more characters who were kissing or having sex, or a single character who was engaged in a solo sexual activity. The interruption is generally unintentional, although sometimes it is deliberate, and is usually played for comedic effect.
