Reactions and Reviews: Issue 1

Having been the first person to set eyes upon the finished product, I just had to write and let you know what a wonderful group of stories and poems this book holds. I thoroughly enjoy a good read. Each story, written by different people and varying in length will hold your interest. The pages are full of romance, sometimes making you laugh aloud, and other times forcing you to reach for a hankie. There are also lovely pieces of artwork, drawn specially for inclusion in the book, capturing in full the essence of each story. I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Beauty and the Beast. In fact, it is a great pity that some of the stories weren't made into episodes for viewing on television, but by reading the book I promise that you will have the next best thing. Let's hope there's a sequel. On a final note, some may say I am biased because I am Rita's daughter-in-law, but I promise that my only purpose in writing this review is to let you know what I thought of it, before somebody else does...[1]

It looked a treat and was a treat to read. I enjoyed the stories very much indeed. The artwork was brilliant too. In fact, I sat down and started to read it as soon as the postman delivered it. Mind you, I had to put it down for one or two trivial reasons eg prepare the dinner and then again to serve the dinner to my husband. Rita Davies has done an excellent job in putting this book together. The writers also did a wonderful job of writing such good stories, plus the artists produced beautiful art to decorate and illustrate a really good book. I hope this won't be the last. No, I am sure it is only the beginning! [2]

From a flyer:

Because of the rising cost of coloured paper and card Ritoma Productions have now ceased to use Pink and Grey for their fanzine, "Reflections in Candlelight 2." Although this has a different coloured cover and white text. It has the same powerful stories inside.
