Real Women Fest was a 2010 comment ficathon on Livejournal for women-centric RPF. It was inspired by the Awesome Ladies Ficathon. The journal received over 750 comments.[1]

Inspired by hazyflights's Awesome Ladies Ficathon, this is is the RPF celebration. Why should fictional women have the only party? We want your women of RPF, and we want 'em all. Ciswomen, transwomen and female-identified, gay, straight, and queer. You want to read about a woman who doesn't have a "fandom"? So do we! For real, bring us the women.HOW IT WORKS: [...]
- Your prompt must focus on a real woman, ie, a non fictional woman. Current and historical celebs, historical figures, political figures... all we ask is that you leave out women who are not public figures.
- Format your prompt like so: fandom, character(s) [+ pairings if any], your prompt. Be general, be specific, be brief, be bikini. Re fandom - If there is a "proper" fandom for your woman (bandom, AI, Kpop, pop, Lotrips...) use that label. Otherwise, use a general category or genre, such as historical, literature, political, music... so on.
