Excerpt
# What's your nickname/pseudonym?:
- Most people call me Kira, but I write under kira-nerys, which I've done now for ... 6 years at least. I would say some also know me as Ladykardasi and a few of you also know my real name.
# Which is your favorite fandom?:
- It kinda varies a little, but for the most part it's Star Trek and Kirk/Spock, which it also has been for the last four years.
# Do you write in other fandoms than your favorite? If so, which ones?:
- Yes, I write in several fandoms besides K/S. Mostly it's Harry Potter and HP/SS nowadays, but I dabble around a little in Smallville, SG-1 and I'd like to try writing both Highlander and Sentinel, but we'll see.
# Do you read in other fandoms?
- Yes, I certainly do. Reading is easier to do in many different fandoms than writing. I'm game in just about any fandom that I'm at least slightly familiar with, if a story is well written and with strong characterization.
# Are you an OTP person?:
- Some people might argue with me on this point, but I consider myself an OTP person. I like to write other stories from time to time to challenge myself and stretch my legs a little, but for Star Trek, I've always loved Kirk/Spock together and there really is no other pairing that I believe as strongly in. Same goes for Harry Potter and HP/SS. I may try out writing others, but it doesn't ring true to me.
# Are you a writer or an artist?:
- Both, although I think I'd say that I'm a better writer than I am an artist.
# Do you only write online or do you write for zines as well?:
- I write both online and for zines. I think it's awesome to see my story in print and the fact that I get a bunch of fresh, never-seen stories in the same fandom along with my own is also lovely.
# What kind of stories are your favorites?:
- Long, well written stories with good characterization with explicit, well written sex. I also like the occasional PWP, but even then, they have to have good characterization. I guess that's pretty individual though, since we don't always see characters the same way.
# Least favorites?:
- It's very easy to say "poorly written stories" here, but that's kinda obvious, so I'll go for saying what I least enjoy for the most part is Alternate and Mirror Universe Stories. I also am not fond of MPREG or genderbending, but I can generally read any kind of story if they're well written.
# How did you get into fan fiction?:
- Gul Dukat. It was the summer of 1997, and I had fallen hard for Dukat after watching "Indiscretion". I wrote my own Kira/Dukat story (Reptilian Romance) before even knowing there was such a thing as fan fiction. After roaming the 'net however, I found others like myself and that's how it started.
# Are you a slash fan?:
# If so, how did you become one?:
- I was looking for more Cardassian fiction after reading through all Dukat stories there were out there, and I stumbled across Garak/Bashir. At first I was pretty shocked, but it didn't take long for me to change my mind ... Only a few weeks later, I wrote my very first slash story.
