The Problematic Love Song is a set of filk/song parody lyrics praising "problematic" tropes, riffing on "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music. The first verse was originally posted to Tumblr by ripeteeth. Other users to the site then added to it in the notes and reblogs.
The original first verse by ripeteeth was posted on July 18 2024. Later that day, ripeteeth posted a revised version in a self-reblog, based on a suggestion by fox-bright in the post replies.
In reblogs of the post, a second verse was added by giraffeter on July 18, a third by imminentinertia on Aug 26, and a fourth by westiec on Aug 26.
