Series

Summaries

From the distributor: "Candy Apple takes events of episodes 'Sentinel Too' and 'Night Shift' and puts them in the context of an established slash relationship. This moves the canon of the Outside Influences Series to include the cliffhanger and its on-air resolution. Following the adventures in Sierra Verde, an ill Blair travels to California to spend time with Starsky & Hutch. With their relationship on shaky ground, Jim and Blair deal with the issues raised in their relationship by their interaction with Alex Barnes."

Author's Notes

From the online version:

Notes: This story begged to be written, and wouldn't leave me alone until I did it. <g> If you loved Sentinel Too, Parts 1-2 and saw no need for further resolution, you probably won't enjoy this story. Further, this story takes the events of those eps, as well as "Night Shift" and puts them in the context of an established slash relationship. Obviously, this moves the canon of the Outside Influences Series to include the cliffhanger and its on-air resolution. This is my slash resolution to the resolution.

There will be a sequel to this story in the near future.

To all the folks I owe E-mail: I hope you like this story. This is to blame for my not answering you yet. <g> I will...honest!

Summary: Following the adventures in Sierra Verde, an ill Blair travels to California to spend time with Starsky & Hutch. With their relationship on shaky ground, Jim and Blair deal with the issues raised in their relationship by their interaction with Alex Barnes.

WARNINGS: How do I warn thee? Let me count the ways...

Taking it from the top: Endearments, romance, men in love, William Ellison, angst, h/c, herbal tea, mating urges, S2P2-related-angst, language, a little violence, leaping spirit animals, euphoric sentimentalism (the S&H folks are familiar with that)...and...hmm...I think that about covers it.

Reactions and Reviews

Sequel to Family Matters in the Outside Influences Universe. No multiple pairings I say again. This story pulls the S2P2 episode into this story line. How Jim and Blair try to keep their relationship together in the light of those events. Blair seeks some distance, needs time to heal physically from and illness, as well as spiritually. So he goes to stay with Starsky and Hutch, but all isn't over with Alex Barnes the worst is yet to come." [1]

Just yesterday Candy Apple posted a new part to her Sentinel/Starsky & Hutch crossover Outside Influences. It is called Primary Subject and pulls the series into the aftermath of the events that occured in S2P1 & S2P2. In this one the boys try to deal with what occured in that ep and how it effects their relationship. In it Blair goes to stay with Starsky & Hutch for a while to get his head together and to heal from an illness. It is really pretty good and Candy has promised a new part coming soon that will most likely deal with something that is brought up in Primary Subject. If it is what I think it is, then it's a good thing.[2]
