Phyllis Wood was a long-time science fiction fan and convention staffer in San Antonio, Texas, beginning in the 1970s.
Wood was a member of the Fandom Association of Central Texas (FACT), the Alamo Literary Arts Maintenance Organization (ALAMO), and the International Space: 1999 Alliance. She was also active in Starfleet, and helped in the formation of Trek International; both role-playing Star Trek fan organizations.
