Owen Harper is part of the initial main cast on the sci-fi series Torchwood, acting as the team's medical doctor. He died in season two but was revived, and subsequently died again at the end of the season in a nuclear meltdown. He is portrayed by Burn Gorman.
Owen is very much into casual sex. His introduction to the show features him using an alien spray which makes him sexually irresistible, and he uses it to convince a woman to go home with him after she initially turns him down. He has been criticized by fans for this, and has been called a date-rapist and a would-be rapist. He has a sexual relationship with team member Gwen Cooper, and Toshiko Sato has an unrequited interest in him.
