Original Sin is a fan-made trailer for adding Sinthea "Sin" Schmidt to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It also stars Sharon Carter, Brock Rumlow, and Phil Coulson.
Vid's Summary
- A woman wakes up with no memory of who she is, and is told that her name is Erica Holstein and she is an agent of SHIELD. When she starts to remember people and places that don’t match with what she had been told about herself, she first starts to doubt her own mind, then the people around her. She is confronted by the HYDRA agent, Brock Rumlow, who tries to convince her that she is really Sinthea Schmidt, the daughter of the Red Skull.
Vidder's Notes
- I can’t tell you how many times I gave up on this only to go back to it a week later. I can’t believe I actually got this done. I love Sin, she’s so completely batshit and psychotic, I would absolutely love to see her in the MCU. Probably never will, but hey, a girl can dream. The comic where she’s brainwashed and Crossbones’ does the whole messed-up cognitive recalibration is actually the first I read with her in it. With SHIELD brainwashing her, it’s a nice twist on the whole Winter Soldier thing with HYDRA brainwashing him. I dunno, I just want to see her show up and would love if they did the memory storyline.
- Also, Marvel needs to step-up their villain game, other the Crossbones and Nebula, all of their villains from that past six or so movies have been incredibly weak, especially Ant-Man (I could go on a whole rant over how hilariously bad Cross was in Ant-Man)
