ontd_startrek is a LiveJournal community based on the ONTD model that celebrates Star Trek Reboot films, the actors, and the entire Star Trek phenomenon with enthusiastic obscenities, gifs, picspams, macros, and sparkle text. When it was first created in 2009, the comm had very high traffic, with dozens of posts every day. Interest decreased steadily over the years, and by 2014, months would go by without a single post.
ontd_startrek is known for its frequent use of the term GQMF and its production of hilarious macros[1].
ontd_startrek is also the original venue for Spork! An Erotic Love Story, an audiofic that went viral in December 2009.
In a 2015 fail_fandomanon thread about "Your best experience of being in a fandom", nonnies reminisced about the comm in 2009: "Everything was GQMF and nothing hurt."[2]
