The Oak Family, consisting of Blue Oak, aka Gary and/or Green, Daisy Oak and Professor Oak is commonly seen in Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow fanworks in the Pokémon fandom. Out of the three characters, Blue is by far the most popular. His cross-canon counterparts Gary in the Pokémon anime and Green in the Pokémon Special manga are also commonly seen in works featuring the Oak family. Canon Background
Professor Samuel Oak is the oldest and is the grandfather of Daisy and Blue, with Daisy being a few years older than Blue. Their parents are never specified in canon, nor is any sort of grandmother figure. All three live in Pallet Town along with Red/Ash Ketchum/Red in the Special manga and/or Leaf (Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green only.)
