Formats and Availability
The zine went out of print after 100 hard copies were printed and sold. The zine was then offered for sale in CD format in early 2002.
It was made available online in PDF form at WriteStuff's website before the site went offline. Since then the PDF has been circulating among fans. [1]
The print zine contains a single illo. The e-zine contains additional art. The print zine and e-zines pages do not line up regarding pagination, which is explained in "A Note About Hand Jobs."

A Note About Hand Jobs: The paper and electronic editions of this zine embody more than 400 unpaid but not uncompensated hours of writing, revising, editing, proofing, drawing, tweaking, designing, layout, calculating, shopping, travel, phone calls, measuring, cutting, printing, copying, temper tantrums, soothing, backrubs, collating, cussing, folding, stapling, packaging, answering e-mails, and running to the post office. The original print run of the paper zine was a numbered, limited edition of 100. The electronic edition contains more art, and type size and layout have been somewhat modified for the sake of screen readability, but still represents a reasonable reproduction of the print edition. Please note that the same paper has been used for both the cover of the paper edition and the CD box. The paper was selected with care, then lovingly hand-cut and constructed to ensure continuity between the two editions, regardless of format.
Recs and Reviews
This is a tremendously good hurt/comfort fic, with lots of layers that are slowly pulled back, through flashbacks and correspondence and current crises, to reveal the origins of Obi-Wan's trauma which are both complex and simple. The chararacterizations are lovely: Despite being almost overwhelmed by his pain and his certainty that he has lost everything, Obi-Wan remains strong and behaves as I feel a Jedi would -- this is no weepy adolescent, despite his occasional tears. Qui-Gon also, despite hurting for his lover and himself, is Jedi to the core. The descriptions near the end of how Obi-Wan perceives both the Unifying and Living Force are simply magnificent. This is a story of love, learning, and redemption, and it works on many different levels.[2]
