Neil Josten/Andrew Minyard (also known as Andreil) is the canonical slash ship of Neil Josten and Andrew Minyard from Nora Sakovic’s All For The Game series.
Canon
Andrew and Neil meet in book one, The Foxhole Court. They both play for the Palmetto Foxes exy team, a fictional sport similar to lacrosse mixed with hockey. Andrew plays the role of both protector and antagonizer of Neil in the beginning of the series. At one of their first meetings, Andrew doses Neil with a drug without consent.
Fandom
The ship can loosely be referred to as enemies to lovers, considering the number of other (real) enemies that Neil has in the books. However, many fanworks that take place after the series concludes showcase Andreil as fluffy.
In 2020, 2021, 2022, and again in 2024, Andreil was ranked in the top 100 AO3 ships of the year. They ranked highest in 2024, at 81.
Many works in the fandom mention the trauma that both characters have, and may involve either Andrew or Neil consoling the other, or be whump fics in which the hurt is increased beyond canon.
