-Shipping Name Origin

The first -shipping name coined for the pairing was "RoninShipping," sometime between November 2016 and 07 January 2017. However, the name had already been coined for Walnut/Janine, a very rare pairing with little to no fan activity, and it was added in error since any -shipping names on the list were considered used and irreplaceable during this time.

On 07 January 2017, "UnspokenRadianceShipping" was coined as a new name for Nanu/Selene and the RoninShipping duplicate was removed.[1]

Both names are rarely used by shippers, however, as of 2025. The pairing is largely shipped only in the Japanese side of the fandom so their most popular portmanteau is unknown at this time as well.
