Montgomery Scott (Scotty) is a main character in Star Trek (2009). He is played by Simon Pegg.

While Scotty is a well-liked character in the film, he is not as common in fanworks as the other majors.
Pairings
Scotty is paired with Uhura fairly frequently after she and Spock break up (usually so Spock can be paired with Kirk as the primary pairing in the fic).
He's not part of any of the main slash pairings in the Reboot fandom. There are some (crack?) fics pairing Scotty and his assistant on Delta Vega, Keenser.
