Midoriya Inko (緑谷引子) is a minor character in Boku no Hero Academia. She is the mother of the series' protagonist, Midoriya Izuku.

Reception and meta
Fans generally like Inko as a wholesome parent who loves and supports her child.
Some fans find Inko's appearance as a middle-aged mother during Izuku's teenage years to be displeasing compared to her slimmer, more youthful appearance when he was a young child.
Fanon and tropes
- Supportive vs. Abusive Midoriya Inko (relevant AO3 tags: Good Parent Midoriya Inko and Supportive Midoriya Inko vs. Midoriya Inko's Bad Parenting and Abusive Midoriya ) -- these competing trends are seen both in fics that tread closely to canon and AUs, it's just competing interpretations of the character.
- Killing her off in fic to make room for Izuku's relationships with other adults (often Aizawa but there are many possibilities)
- Shipping with All Might -- it's a joke within the fandom that many Toshinko shippers started off liking the ship ironically (or as an extension of "Dad Might" jokes) before coming to appreciate the ship on its own merits. [1]
