I've been writing fan fiction since I was in junior high, and my god, isn't it fortunate that those early Mary Sue-ish dribbles... I mean, drabbles, don't exist anywhere thirteen years later. They were Lord of the Rings and later in high school Jane Austen fics, and I started actually writing online fanfiction with Harry Potter about six years ago. [My participation in other fandoms:] Obviously LotR, Jane Austen, and Harry Potter, where I've spent most of my time, but I've moved into SG-1, House MD, and Spiral (anime) lately. This is my first time shifting from SG-1 to Atlantis.
I love snark, which McShep cannon and fanon is full of, and love writing witty bits, so that explains why I've made myself at home with Snape/Lupin, House/Wilson, Daniel/Jack, and now McShep. With McKay, particularly, there's a character that you can enjoy his bits of pettiness, which is rare in characters. I also love Sci-Fi, because I am a bit of a science geek. Only so long a girl can be best friends with a chemical engineer and not pick up a love for Discovery Channel and National Geographic.
