Margaery Tyrell is a fictional character from A Song of Ice and Fire, and was played by Natalie Dormer on the HBO television series Game of Thrones.
I loved how Margaery showed how you can be a schemer and plotter and still not be an awful person. She's intelligent and knows how to move pieces around to get things done, but she still strikes me as a fundamentally good character.[1]
Canon
During the War of the Five Kings Margaery marries Renly Baratheon, who is the lover of her brother Loras Tyrell. After Renly's death she is betrothed to Joffrey Baratheon, who sets aside his previous betrothed Sansa Stark. Margaery becomes friends with Sansa and tries to arrange a marriage between her and Loras, but is thwarted by the Lannisters who marry Sansa to Tyrion. At her wedding to Joffrey he dies of poisoning. Soon after she is married to Joffrey's brother Tommen Baratheon. Cersei Lannister conspires with the Faith Militant to have Loras arrested for practicing homosexuality, and Margaery is arrested for helping to cover up her brother's actions. Margaery repents her sins and is released. At her brother's trail Margaery and several other characters are killed in a wildfire explosion executed by Cersei.

Margaery is shipped with a variety of characters, but her most popular and enduring pairing is with Sansa Stark (Sansaery), and it is the top femslash ship in the Game of Thrones fandom.
