Loren Q is an X-Files slash writer who co-wrote and shared a website (LZL Slash Factory, now down) with Zoe Takashi and Louise Wu. Collectively they were known as LZL.

From her bio:

Loren was the first X-Files fan, watching the show since season one. She finally convinced Louise that the great acting and decent story lines would be worth watching. The first episode Louise saw was "The Host," and she thought Loren mad. Slowly but surely, Loren convinced Louise to watch more and that 'The Host' was really, well... a fluke. Eventually, Louise found she liked the show.

Loren also had some exposure to slash way back in the old K/S days (although for her it was Chekov and the Klingons). It wasn't much of a leap to assume X-Files had slash and even easier to find it.

Although not much of a slash reader herself, Loren scoured site after site looking for slash to feed the voracious Louise and, soon after, Zoe.

Loren had to be dragged kicking and screaming into slash writing. Always a good story teller, Louise kept nagging her to write stories, but still Loren resisted. Until one day a story poured out of Loren's demented head and demanded to be told. Louise became her punctuation slave, Zoe provided encouragement and Batesville was born.

Loren is truly a slave to her muse and continued coaxing is necessary to get the muse working. She lives for feedback so all readers who enjoy her stories must immediately write fan mail and tell her so. She writes for the accolades.

Still not much of a slash reader, when not writing, Loren spends her time acting as 'visual aide' for Louise and Zoe's stories. It's a dirty job, but someone has to test those sex positions. She sacrifices by bending over and taking it like a man... all in the name of art.
