Four page story by one of fandom's best. This is more like a narrative poem—filled as it is with lovely romantic language. It takes place right after Miramanee's death and Spock is comforting Kirk while still on the planet. Kirk asked Spock: "Do you think I can ever love anyone who will not go away?'" Such a beautiful, simple question and Spock's heart aches for him. When Kirk tells Spock he would have named the child after him, I got tears in my eyes. Oh and when Kirk says: "Spock, take me home," I wanted to cry.
