List of Star Wars Early Songvids
Even though Star Wars fandom was robust, there are very few early songvids.
As a movie, original Star Wars footage was initially limited. It wasn't until 1984 that the show aired on television for the first time.
Another reason: Lucasfilm's stronghold on fandom culture may have prevented fanvids from being widely circulated.
Also, in the absence of slash fandom community (Lucasfilm prohibiting all same sex fanfic, even G rated), may have limited interest and audience.
There is also limited record of these vids; while Star Wars fanvids were circulated at the Mediawest*Con convention in Michigan, the convention failed to track entries and contest winners, leaving information lost.
