About

I'm Letterblade, also known in the past as Arkady or M'lah Sihfay. I've been writing fanfiction for a rather embarrassing length of time, and posting it online in various places for rather less time (only fifteen years or so!) I'm an incorrigible fandom-hopper and sometimes hermit, with a long-running tendency to fall into small fandoms and write odd things in them, so I tend to slip under radars. If you've heard of me, there's a significant chance it's as "that chick who wrote the Dumbledore/Grindelwald fic with the letters that made people cry."

If you're wondering "why the heck hasn't she finished XYZ," it's probably some combination of "fell into another fandom" and "my lead-writer-for-a-video-game day job ate me." It's a very carnivorous job. (Susurrus: Season of Tides.)

My AO3 contains most of my newer works that never made it onto my old personal website (it's clunky to update, full of wanky rambles, and I've been having server problems.) I've also been reposting older fic here backdated, but it's not all up yet. Said old website is here.

I also write LARPs, and used to do DWRP (Ventus, Sinbad, and others in Aather.) I'm fairly active on tumblr, and inactive on plurk, dreamwidth, and livejournal.[2]

Example Works

  • Go East a HP gen story Quirrell-focused, "He has a terrifying amount of control over my body. It took him weeks to insinuate himself, to force my surrender into a habit." Quirrell and a unicorn corpse. Quirrell has not had a good year. (Dec 2002)
  • Thirty-Five Owls a Dumbledore/Grindelwald epistolary HP story written for Blogathon 2007, Being a correspondence between Albus P.W.B. Dumbledore, Grand Sorcerer, Supreme Mugwump, etc., and the prisoner Gellert Grindelwald, of some decades in length. (Jun 2008)
  • Terminal Velocity a gen MCU/Captain America story Tony Stark fucks it up. Tony Stark tries to fix it. Rinse. Repeat. Either way, he keeps falling, bits and pieces torn away in the wind, and one of these days, he's going to crash, unless somebody manages to catch him. Or, Tony makes good life choices after Civil War and has to relearn how to be himself. Again. While struggling with his own decisions, Bucky Barnes' brain, and General Ross' sketchiness. (Oct 2016 – a abandoned-WIP)
  • Cost of Living a Voltron: Legendary Defender Keith/Shiro story, When Lance died in the cockpit, Allura brought him back with magic. And then they started dreaming of each other's oceans. When Shiro died in the cockpit, Allura brought him back with magic. And then all three started dreaming of each other's sorrows. Magic has consequences, everybody has too many feelings, and Allura and her undead menfolk share an unwanted psychic bond on their trip to Earth. (Aug 2018 – a abandoned-WIP)
