Leorio Paladiknightis a main character of the shounen manga and anime series Hunter x Hunter by Yoshihiro Togashi. He is an aspiring doctor and the "Boar" of the Zodiacs.

Canon

Leorio is a medical student, with a goal to become a doctor, who wants to use the resources of a certified Hunter to pay for medical school. A close friend of his died of a curable illness due to lack of money and resources.

He meets Gon Freecss, Killua Zoldyck, and Kurapika during the Hunter Examination. After becoming a Hunter, he returns to school. Despite Leorio being loud and brash, (and is particularly good a bargaining), he is very kind and loyal to his friends. Leorio is an emitter-type nen user. He becomes a member of the Zodiac Twelve, a group of Hunters whose skills have been recognized by Chairman Netero of the Hunter Association, with the codename "Boar."
