Leon/Piers, known mostly as DarkRoyalsShipping, ダンネズ (Dannezu), DNNZ, ネズダン (Nezudan) and/or NZDN, is a common ship in the Pokémon fandom. It pairs Leon (Dande) and Piers (Nezu), the Galar Pokémon Champion and the Dark-type gym leader from Pokémon Sword and Shield respectively.

The first name coined for Leon/Piers was IpetamShipping, coined by Kyuu-Tales for the Neverending Romance ship name list on 02 December 2019.[1] However, this name never caught on with shippers even though there was no common -shipping name for Leon/Piers until years later, when DarkRoyalShipping was coined, sometime on or before 06 May 2022 and possibly by 480pfootage.[Notes 1]
Later, a fanweek for the pairing would popularize "DarkRoyalsShipping", adding an s to the name.
Overall, calling the ship by its Japanese acronyms in the western side of the fandom is the most common.
