Kozume Kenma is a character in the manga and anime Haikyuu.
Canon
Kenma is a second year setter of the Nekoma Volleyball Team who encounters the protagonist Hinata Shouyou at a practice match against Karasuno. He finds Hinata interesting. He is shown to be interested in video games, often playing handheld consoles. He is quiet, intelligent, and analytical, and doesn't like to stand out. He dislikes doing exercise and doesn't care for formalities.
His childhood best friend and neighbour Kuroo Tetsurou introduced Kenma to volleyball, and eventually convinced him to play a setter position despite Kenma not enjoying sports. Kuroo also encouraged Kenma not to quit volleyball when he first started. Kenma has been referred to as "the brain" of the Nekoma Volleyball Team due to his strategies.
In Kenma's first year of high school, he had an antagonistic relationship with his teammate, Yamamoto Taketora due to clashing personalities and ideologies. At one point, this led to a physical fight between them that was only broken up by another teammate, Fukunaga Shouhei, splashing water on them. Eventually, Yamamoto came to appreciate Kenma's hatred for losing and his strategic mind, and stopped being antagonistic towards Kenma, even asking Kenma to use the nickname "Tora" for him.

- Some fans characterize Kenma as someone who will drop everything for Hinata, but ignore other people, even Kuroo. Sometimes this happens even when Kenma is supposedly dating Kuroo.
- Aro/Ace-spec Kenma: Kenma is often headcanoned to be on the asexual and/or the aromantic spectrum.

Kenma is primarily shipped with his best friend Kuroo and Hinata, and other Kenma ships are considered to be rarepairs. He is often included in polyship works with Kuroo as well.
